The article examines the development of information and measurement systems in Ukraine during the 1970–1980s. Ensuring the intensive pace of development of science, technology and production during this period required increasing the efficiency of production of instruments, automation equipment and control systems, their rapid renewal, radical improvement of technology and production organization, and improvement of their quality and reliability. The complexity of scientific tasks and the growth of requirements for the accuracy and reliability of measurements contributed to the development of a systemic approach to the creation of aggregate complexes of electrical measuring equipment on a new element base. The significance of the innovative aggregate approach in electrical measuring equipment within the framework of the State System of Industrial Instruments and Automation Equipment is revealed. This made it possible to obtain a comprehensive picture, minimize errors and increase the reliability of the measuring system and contributed to the unification of information and measuring systems. The contribution of Professor K. I. Didenko of the Kharkiv Polytechnic University to the creation of the concept of aggregate complexes of technical means, which became the basis for the construction of modern information and control systems in industry and science, was noted. The influence of the developments of scientists of the Institute of Electrodynamics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR on the formation and development of domestic information and measuring systems was outlined. The contribution of Ukrainian scientists to the development of information form converters as a key direction in electrical measuring technology was highlighted. It was established that significant research was conducted at the Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine under the leadership of Professor A. I. Kondaliev, as well as on the basis of specialized departments of higher technical education institutions. An analysis of the scientific works of leading Ukrainian electrical engineers – A. D. Nesterenko, P. P. Ornatskyi, B. I. Shvetskyi, Yu. M. Tuz, S. M. Maievskyi, V. O. Kochan, E. S. Polishchuk, A. Ya. Shramkov, K. I. Didenko, A. I. Kondaliev and others was conducted. The effectiveness of the scientific heritage indicates systematic work towards the creation of a new technical basis for measurements based on the use of integrated circuits, microprocessors and information form converters. The experience and achievements of Ukrainian scientists in the field of electrical measuring technology became the basis for the transition to a new stage in the development of industrial automated systems, provided technological heredity, scientific depth and practical significance of the implemented solutions.
