The article examines the issues of forming approaches to the education of Ukrainians in emigration at the beginning of the 20th century, in particular, the active development of agricultural education, as well as the contribution of individual scientists to its formation. Based on the application of problem-chronological and historical-system methods and analysis, the features of the formation of Ukrainian agrarian scientific thought in the context of the activities of the Ukrainian scientific community abroad, as a separate phenomenon of European society in the first half of the 20th century, are highlighted. Based on analysis of published materials, the social and political features and circumstances of the life of Ukrainian figures and scientists in emigration, which determined the history of the creation and activity of Ukrainian unions, associations, and educational institutions in Czechoslovakia, were analyzed. The historical aspects of the emergence of Ukrainian organizations abroad are highlighted, the conditions for the establishment of Ukrainian higher education institutions in Czechoslovakia at the beginning of the 20th century, their successful activities and impact on agricultural science in Ukraine, the Czech Republic and beyond are investigated. The activities of the Czech-Ukrainian Committee, which operated in Prague since 1921 and aimed to deal with the affairs of Ukrainian students in the Czech Republic, are examined. The conclusions emphasize that patriotic Ukrainian public and scientific figures of the first half of the 20th century created influential organizations, successfully cooperated with the governments of European countries, thanks to which they were able to implement large-scale projects, such as the establishment of higher educational institutions. Thanks to the functioning of such higher educational institutions, including the Ukrainian Agrarian Academy, Ukrainian youth in emigration received patriotic upbringing and high-quality professional education, and Ukrainian specialists found their professional vocation in Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Poland, and other countries in Europe and the world after graduation.
