The article highlights the transformation of the management system of that part of the electrical machinery industry located in the first half of the 1920s in the UkSSR, which was under the competence of its government. The investigation was conducted on the basis of historicism, systematicity and objectivity, using the problem-chronological method, methods of analysis and synthesis, as well as historical-situational, heuristic and historical-critical methods. The research established that the initially organized structure of the management of republic subordinated electrical machine-building was built according to a model similar to the structure of the branch management of all electrical machinery industry of the union of all Soviet republics headed by the RSFSR, which is expected to be created in the near future. The only difference from the union model was the scale of the republican structure, focused on the management of medium and small electromechanical enterprises, but through the same network as in the Soviet Union as a whole, local councils of the people's economy subordinated to the Ukrainian Council of the People's Economy. However, the government of Soviet Russia, taking advantage of the powers assigned to it in the process of the formation of the Soviet Union, even before the creation of the latter, carried out a series of measures aimed both at alienating the most efficient electromechanical plants on the territory of Soviet Ukraine under its competence, and at depriving the republican government of the opportunity to influence the material technical support of the relevant state enterprises entrusted to him. As a result, by 1925, all state-owned electrical machinery plants under the republic subordinated stopped their work, which became a reason for the Union government to alienate them for its own competence, and the UkSSR government competence was left to manage only the sector of non-state regional electrical machine-building. However, since the "Soviet" order of the economy did not envisage the existence of such a sector in the long perspective, it was already being prepared by the authorities for its closure from the mid-1920s. Therefore, based to a greater extent on political-ideological considerations, and to a lesser extent on considerations by political-economic, the Union government at the beginning of the second half of the 1920s opened to the republican authorities the opportunity to organize all kinds of resource support for at least one state electromechanical plant within its competence.
