Summary

The article focuses on the hierarchical vestments of His Holiness Filaret, the Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine. These vestments are kept in the collection of the National Historical and Ethnographic Reserve «Pereiaslav». The composition of the liturgical set (sticharion, sakkos, epitrachelion, belt, epigonation, epimanikia, omophorion) is indicated. The details regarding its accession and introduction into scientific use have been clarified.

It was determined that the specified objects are monuments of the modern period of the history of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the first quarter of the 21st century. Memorabilia related to Patriarch Filaret`s many years of service. An art historical analysis of each element of the vestment was carried out, taking into account materials, techniques of execution, ornamental motifs and decorative design. It was established that the set is made of Greek brocade of golden-white color with floral and plant ornament and geometric ribbon frames, which reflects the traditions of church sewing of the early 2000s.

Special attention is paid to the symbolic meaning of the components of the hierarchical vestments in the context of liturgical practice and theological tradition. It is emphasized that each element of the vestment combines a practical function with a deep spiritual significance.

It has been proven that the personal belongings of Patriarch Filaret have significant historical, artistic, and cultural value. They are an important source for the study of material culture, liturgical practice, and church history of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the modern period.
