|
The article examines the historiography of kobza and bandura art of the second half of the 19th century – early of 20th century. It is established that the works written during the imperial period are of great importance for the study of the development of bandura art. The article reveals the works of such domestic authors as M. Lysenko, F. Kolessa, N. Sumtsov, D. Yavornytskyi, and others. It is determined that these scientific researchers are devoted to the following topics: the personalities of kobzars and bandura players, features of musical instruments, educational space, diversity of repertoire, research of the heroic epic, and dums studies. It is analyzed that the publications are characterized by their source and factual nature. The following scientific methods were used in the article: analysis, synthesis, systematization, classification, descriptive method, comparative method, historical and genetic method. The historiography of kobza and bandura art of the second half of the 19th – early 20th centuries bears the value of this traditional artistic element in the period under study.
