The article analyzes the representation of visualized biograms of the defenders of Ukraine during the Russian-Ukrainian war in urban space to form a collective memory; to create common memories and certain rituals of perpetuating and honoring both the defenders of Ukraine and those who support Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and independence. The article considers both different artistic genres and techniques (art installations, murals, etc.) and objects containing biograms, designed and structured in different ways. In particular, such objects are commemorative, as the mobilization of memory about a particular event becomes part of «places of memory». The installation of billboards, street cubes, stands, Walls of Memory, installations, etc. all become part of historical memory, and thus cultural and collective memory. And while the primary purpose of these events is to remind and preserve information about individuals and events that are still ongoing, over time, this practice will also be useful in memorializing those who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war. The article also reflects a rethinking of approaches to marking in urban space the images of prominent people known since childhood, whose biography was presented through the canonization of their images, such as Taras Shevchenko, Lesya Ukrainka, and Ivan Franko.

It is stated that in the conditions of war, the biographical genre somewhat expands the disciplinary boundaries: the possibilities of transmitting biographical information by various types of art and objects of urban space contribute to the formation of collective memory, preserving national identity and forming new approaches to the formation of memory policy.
