Archiving is an integral part of the sustainability policy of scholarly publications.
The electronic scholarly professional journal «History of Science and Biographical Studies» ensures reliable long-term preservation, availability, and continuous access to all materials published in open access in accordance with international standards of digital archiving.
The editorial board employs a multi-level strategy for the long-term digital preservation of scholarly data. All issues of the journal are subject to mandatory deposit in the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine («Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine» of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine).
The journal’s archival files are stored in PDF and HTML formats for web access.
The server infrastructure includes a system of regular backups (both on-site and off-site).
Reliable server mirroring technologies and data integrity verification (checksum control) are used.
The journal adheres to an open access policy: all articles are freely available without time limits or restrictions on the number of downloads.
In the event of the termination of the electronic scholarly professional journal «History of Science and Biographical Studies», all archived materials will remain available in open access.

The collection «History of Science and Biographical Studies» is indexed and presented in international and national information and analytical resources, in particular in bibliographic databases Open Ukrainian Citation Index (OUCI), OpenAlex, SCILIT, Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources (ROAD), indexed in the search engine system Google Scholar, uses the infrastructure Crossref for DOI registration, and also presented in aggregators and catalogs of scientific resources (Fatcat, SIS (Scientific Indexing Services (USA)), ResearchBib, EnterScholar) and international library systems, in particular Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, Elektronisch Zeitschriftenbibliothek, TIB — Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology Universiti Library, UCSB Library і Universitätsbibliothek Leipzig.
